1993 Viva Venizia!
Gondola Performance Venice, Italy
Discouraging the ugly American myth I had a custom-suit made and attempted to help save Venice while encouraging other tourists to do the same. I hired a gondola to drive me to the badly-decaying parts of the reefs and attached marine-grade flotation devices emblazoned with my painted self-portrait to the eroding foundations.
